Hotel Domus Pacis hotel description>>

Pretty good!
Reviewer: Rome visitor, London, England

Rooms are located in blocks named after saints away from the entrance block/restaurants. Rooms were spotlessly clean and supplied with television showing local channels and Eurosport. Power points were available.Bathroom came with bidet, although the shower cubicle was very small. There was an abundance of towels and toiletries were supplied. There is a shop in the main lobby, although its opening hours seemed to be restricted to evenings. Unfortunately on the 2nd and 3rd day of our visit the bar was closed due a conference. Breakfast was nothing to write home about but was adequate.Hotel staff were delightful, with one of the receptionists speaking good English which meant we could revert to our native language if our Italian failed us (it frequently did).Although the hotel is situated some way away from Vatican city, taxis were readily available (although watch it if Lazio/Roma are at home) and if you are part of a group you're nearly better to get a taxi to take you to the Vatican rather than risk walking the roads.Altogether a very enjoyable stay further helped by the fine weather (late 60's, low 70's at the start of November).

I would pass on this one

Just got back from Italy and thought I would share my thoughts on this hotel. The room was essentially a dorm room . When we drove up to the hotel we thought "Looks nice" but when we got to the room it was a little disappointing. It did have a minifridge and a safe in the room . It was clean except the bathroom grout in between the tiles was black . That bothered me a bit. The location is not ideal. It is on a busy (hard to find I might add) street dangerous to walk on since parts of it do not have a sidewalk. The staff at the front desk was not helpful at all. When I asked about the saturna spa, they supposedly have an affiliation with, they knew nothing. They said I would have to go down the street to find out. Also , did not give us any info on the services the hotel offers and nothing is provided in the room either. Overall they did not make me feel welcome. I would not reserve a room here again. A suggestion, stay at Hotel Aberdeen near the train station. Stayed there the first part of the trip and would deffinately stay there again. (you can walk to everywhere from there).

Beware of the mosquitoes

The vents are completed infested with mosquitoes. We checked out two rooms in different buildings, both were full of the little buggers. The front desk tried to give us some insecticides and mosquito lights, but we wouldn't have it.
